One of the first "Racing Yellow" 991 GT3s to hit the Sates was the Owner of the Porsche Exchange which was immediately sent to his warehouse where his fleet of rare cars are stored. When it arrived they called me so I could finally see the 991 GT3 in person. There was the Racing yellow and a GT Silver there. This was back in Nov/Dec., if I recall. My gosh; if I had the cojones I would order racing yellow. It made me weak in the knees. Every time I kept looking at the GT Silver my eyes were just drawn to the racing yellow

My original build spec'd RY. Then I decided I should get a color I've never owned before, so I went with GR.
My first BMW was a Dakar Yellow M3. I flat out loved that car and especially the color. Have to admit, it was harder to sell when the time came, but I finally got a buyer at the right price.
If I had been able to spec a PTS, I would have gone either Signal Yellow or Green (997.1 RS color). Those green RS's are superb!

The car looks great in RY. It probably wouldn't have been my first choice but only because I was really wired into getting a red car. RY is a special look.
As an aside, maybe it's my imagination, but it seems like there is more color variety in the current builds; RY, GR, GT and Rhodium silver, SB, Black, etc and not as many whites. Maybe a reaction to the large number of white cars already out there, or the fact that people feel less risk in picking a different color now that they've had a chance to see some of them.

Mike, I agree. All of a sudden White is not as popular for new orders as everybody think too many white's around so they order other colors. I think its great to see other colors on the road. Out of the 4 GT'3 sold by my dealership 3 were black and one white.

I had one in silverstone...great car, except for when the targa was removed. It would shutter over every bump in the road so bad it would feel as though the front end would snap off car. Needless to say I never removed the top again.
