Nah...can't imagine why that would have an effect.

My White GT3 will be ready for delivery in about a week. It is very nicely spec'd and MSRP around $155,000. I would certainly entertain selling it with a minimum $10,000 over

Yes most dealers could care less about having long term customers they just want a fast buck.
My used car sales manager said if he can find a used one he will offer MSRP as he knows he can sell it for at least $5K over. Let me know and I can put you in contact with him. Heck you can drive it for few months and still get your money back.

Just to be clear, we are happy that a dealer will offer us MSRP for our used GT3's but are outraged that they ask over MSRP when they try to sell them. Hmm...

And also happy to sell the ones bought at MSRP for their own markup!

I think to some extend these dealers like having a GT3 on the showroom floor for customers to see when they shop for their other Porsche, whether it be a base 911, Cayenne, etc.... They'll let the car go if they can get a premium, but if they can't, they may as well use the car to create enthusiasm for the brand. I've got to admit that when I pop into my local dealer and they don't have a GT3, RS or something interesting to see, I don't stay long. Same goes for Audi when there's an R8 on the floor or even Ford when they have a Shelby GT500 on the floor.

Hold on! There is a difference between a dealer charging over MSRP on a preorder car by a customer and one the dealer spec for himself to sell. I don't have any problem with a dealer selling over MSRP in the latter situation. It is good for those of us who preordered our cars. Higher resale value.
