given how close gt silver and RS are in real life, the picture could easily be either one. it would just be a minute adjustment in photoshop or lightroom to make either look like the other.

regardless they dont look anything like these pics in person, so in reality, its neither.

The Silver Color in the displayed photo is a VERY close match to my Panamera's GT Silver and considerably darker than the brighter Rhodium Silver of my GT3 (which I now prefer)

The "proper", as in official racing colors for German racing cars, are Silver or White with Red Numbers

Thanks for the input FLT. Appreciated. Silver colours are so subjective and their beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I've had a bunch of silvers including my last 991S in platinum which I loved the colour of. Coming from that, the RS was a bit too cold and blue for me plus I wanted an excuse for a classic silver on the GT3. I'm therefore reassured by your comment that the GT Silver is a darker silver than RS. Thanks again.

I would go with GT Silver. My 991S is Agate and that's definitely not Agate.

It's definitely GT Silver. I have a GT Silver 997.2 C2S with "gunmetal" colored wheels, which are a couple of shades darker than the gray 991 GT3 wheels.

Regardless of whether that photo has been digitally enhanced (of course it has, like all photos posted online these days), the relationship between the car's paint color and the relatively common gray 991 GT3 wheels remains constant.

I can definitely tell, judging by, among other factors, the way the silver of this car compares to those specific gray wheels, that that's GT Silver. When you live with and obsess about the (IMO) very special paint color of your car, like I do, day-in and day-out, you develop a knack for spotting that particular shade. ;-)

Arth, that is so nice of you and your pal to do!
Truly appreciated.
The color is what is expected and is quite a bit darker than Rhodium.
The car looks spectacular!

My pleasure. We were just at the track breaking in his car.

We're all headed to Yas island on the 22nd (3 991gt3's)

I can say the color looks amazing and the pics don't do it justice.

Would pick it over the standard silver

Cheers

Oh my! 3 GT3's heading out! That's going to be a pile of gorgeous fun.
Be safe friend.
That is good to hear about GT Silver. I'm excited but still have a few months to wait before my car gets here.
FYI the spec is: http://www.porsche-code.com/PFDKMRU1
