Default Carrara White Metallic

If anyone is wondering what the difference between carrara white and carrara white metallic is, here is some pictures of a new Cayman GTS in carrara white metallic compared to my carrara white spyder.

I thought the metallic might give the white a 'pearlish' look, but there is nothing like that. It looks pure white in the sunlight. In the shade, there is a grayish hue to it, which I love. So much so, that I changed my color choice for the GT3 to carrara white metallic.

I'll throw in a pic of maxLTV's red GT3 to make it a legit thread.

Love it! Thanks these are the best pictures I have seen. I ordered metallic white all on gut feel without really seeing close up pictures. Now I'm really excited I ordered, and my order locked a few days ago so it's a done deal. Love the garage too

I must b going blind but not much of a difference. A little more pop with the white and a little richer with the Metallic

White metallic is worth the upcharge over white. Hope one day I have the opportunity to pay it.

One thing for certain. I bought(ordered) my first Porsche on my B'day back in 2006 and it was a Feb. delivery for a 2007 Cayman S(basalt Metallic black). I loved that car. I remember picking it up and it was the happiest day of my life right after my Son being born 4 1/2 years ago. I felt an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and realizing my boy hood dream of owning a Porsche. Yes, getting married was like 4th and I am happily married. But, from the pictures above the Cayman has come some way. It is sexier than when it came out in 2005/2006 and continues to be one of the better looking models in their line up. I had no regrets with the car except just was a little underpowered but the handling was so neutral and predictable I loved drifting her. Two years later when I went to sell her and on Craig's list there was a Red 2007 Turbo with 700 miles here in Chicago that just posted and I traded her immediately. I stole that turbo back in 2009 for $92,000 - cash. Sold the turbo 3 years later for $75,000. Still one of my more bigger regrets.

Also- if any one is picking up their GT3 from their dealer and it is is their first time they are buying a Porsche. Enjoy the moment. You will never forget it. Even with the engine replacement I am looking forward to driving it off the lot and I will give it a little shove out the exit. It is always a special day that I always have planned I am going to do that first full day
