My favourite noise of my car, aside from the exhaust note, especially at 9K rpm.

At low speeds, the car sounds like a broken dump truck, with a rusted-out rear axle.

It's not a defect and doesn't hinder the performance, so the sound of my transmission at low speeds doesn't matter to me.

What it "sounds like" (cup car, dump truck) is humorous but irrelevant.

Very accurate description, actually.

Lightweight fly wheels actually help performance, even if they may sound unpleasant to some.

Thoughts?
Just turned 7K on mine and this all sounds normal. Not a problem once on the gas. When it is unloaded is when all the noise takes place and shifting in auto mode is something I got use to.

Old thread, but I thought I'd thank you all for easing my mind on the rattling noise in my recently acquired 991GT3.
Also I'd like to add that town driving in auto is a blissful experience to me. I'd recommend anyone that doesn't agree try a single trip anywhere in an E-gear Murcielago!

Phil, congrats on your recently acquired GT3, but are you not going to share some pics with us?
