Ok.. So this noise is normal. Good, I will like it too

What will think the Porsche engineers about this noise?
Many gt3 owners ask on web the same question about this strange rattles , did they consider it ?

The GT3 certainly rattles and makes quit a bit of noise. I actually love the rawness of it. But when I switch to my Wife's ML 350 I also enjoy the smoothness and lack of noise, I know that sounds strange but I love switching back and forth

I am pretty hard of hearing (the effects of playing the drums on a rock band 50 years ago). I told my spouse about all the different noises discussed on this board and she suggests that when it's time to pick up the my car that I should leave the hearing aids home! That way I will not be worried about noises I can't hear!

I hear a lot of noise from the trans, it is normal for this car. also the car rattles a lot because of the stiffer motorsport engine and transmission mounts. no where like earthquake but the car does shake when it is awake.

All the shaking rattling and other noises are awesome! I love it. It all adds to the experience.

My 996-3 with the RS Lightweight single mass fly and clutch rattled like a snake at low rpm going slow in first gear.

Every GT3 I've ever had made a clankity-rattle kind of noise in the back end - from 996 to 997. If my inbound 991 doesn't make the clankity-rattle noise, I'll be concerned.

Mine seemed fine at start up in neutral. I did say not much different than 911s. Once in gear all seemed well until started to roll and hit a bump and it sounded like two iron rods were left loose in the rear and was clanking together on any small bump. This seemed to go away as I accelerated.

Shifting in auto seemed fine but upshifts too soon. Get a little more aggressive with the throttle and it moves out well with no issues. Clutch uptake is more like first gen PDK and not as seamless at 991s.

The mechanical sounds are plus to me, makes the driving altogether different from other 991s.
