Porsche is ripping you off with options IMO.
They're messing with your minds : " Oh I need this...But I most certainly need that..." Plus all the alphabet soup in between.
Flame away,I've developed thicker skin...

I'd take 135K plus tax,THAT'S IT!

I had a problem as well.

Porsche standard brakes are considered one of the finest in the world. Why would I pay over $9000 for little better bite and no brake dust?

Porsche standard headlights are one of the best in the business. Why would I pay an additional 3400 for lighting that may be a little different but not better.

After I saw damaged splitters on two GT3s' one having a lifter and the other not and I could not tell them apart, I asked myself why would I pay for a lifter if the splitter is going to get damaged no matter what I do?

Porsche makes a lot of money on **** buyers. I am as guilty as the next guy. I opted for extensive leather dash and stitching when the standard Porsche plastic doesn't look too bad. In my defense, my thought process was if I am paying close to $150,000 for a car I want the interior to look expensive.

BTW, your photo sequence above perfectly illustrates the various headlight options. Nice!

ps. would love to see your car some day... we should have a Bay Area GT3 meet up.

Once all of the waiters around here get their cars I think it would be a great idea to get the 996/997/991 GT3 folks together somewhere. Would love to meet everyone in person!

That's funny. I downloaded that picture a week ago, and have used it for my wallpaper. I never looked at the headlights. Oops!

Looks like winter tires on a separate set of wheels to me.

Just because both splitters were damaged doesn't mean that the lift didn't prevent damage. I know I need it to pull in my driveway currently without causing damage and going to my brothers house I may need to take a long way around even with the lift. I am going to do my best to avoid the damage you report seeing even on the vehicle with lift. Because it is there doesn't mean the owner knows when to use it... IMO your observation doesn't mean anything without knowing how the damage was incurred...

Amaranth red was available for the 2014 model year, but it was a "special" colour which costed over $3K.

Crappy iphone pic comparing a guards red C2S with aerokit and black lights with an amaranth red GT3 with standard lights:
