CAlexio - forget about the door panel upgrade. Adds nothing visible and a waste on money. The one regret is that I would of liked to have gotten the seat backs all in leather. A rather expensive option but looks great if you did every thing else in leather. I never really thought about resell value and upgrades when I spec'd it out. I just wanted it my way. Maybe for me the PCCBs($$$) vs Steel made me go with the Steel to upgrade the whole interior. To each their own. Plus - I have never felt that the standard Porsche brakes ever lacked any thing. They have always been one of the best on the market. But I am not here to beat that horse any more

I'm surprised that more people don't get the leather stitched air vents, which really finish off the dash and add that all-important extra red stitching.

Edit: wrong thread, I thought I was on the black knight thread… LOL

In case your surprise isn't tongue in cheek, here's the answer....$1720.....for "leather air vents"....

Damn....posted before your edit.

The reason I did not go with leather air vents is that I did not want to have to care for them. They would have to be cared for because they could dry ect and they are not the easiest to clean either.

Honestly the interior options for these beetles are just absurd, in terms of choices and cost.

As for interior cosmetics I think there should be a 'base' a 'luxury' and 'sport' pac. But we're all suckers I guess.

Leather interior is a tough one. It's clearly bad value for money at the price they charge. But it makes a £100k car look like a £100k car.

I didn't order it. Please add to the list of regrets. But at least the lack of it will offset some of the weight of the white paint.

I think CAlexio spec'd his car to have a can of that stuff instead of the fire extinguisher. That way, he can get royalties every time he takes the car to the track.

true true. i am not that old but i remember as a kid reading about people who stripped out the air conditioner and stereo in their cars to save on weight. nowadays it's how many speakers you can add, along with "online services", bluetooth, etc. don't people know that red stitching adds 6 ounces to the car?
