I spoke to my local OPC today and they assured me the old engines are crated up and sent back to Stuttgart.

I can only assume they will use the casings and heads for development work on the RS?

That actually makes sense. Tell that to those who believe Porsche is " generous " (stupid) enough to melt everything down the drain. they've been fighting warranties and known problems for years because they don't want to pay and now they've decided to be wasteful. Yeah right! What changed...

FOR Europe that would make sense. The few engines will be destroyed by Stuttgart. Leaving it in the hands of the dealer would be too risky. However, in the US there are over 400 engines that need to be replaced. They will be destroyed here in the US.
