Yellow is the best color for the new GT3. Even so, I'm sticking with the ultra rare white for my build.

It's really not that difficult to get an out of state car registered in CA, as long as it has at least 7500 miles on it and hasn't been modified in such a way as to make it fail the smog test. You take it to DMV, CHP, or AAA and have it verified (form REG 31), then get it smogged, take the latest registration and title to the DMV with the application for title (REG 343), pay the registration fees and use tax (big ouch--8% or so, if you didn't pay sales tax in the state you bought it), and they issue your plates. The title comes in the mail a few weeks later.

Just went through this with my Cayman S from Texas.
TT

I think the "use tax" you pay to the DMV is pegged to the sales tax in your area, whatever that may be. In CA, I think only a few rural areas are as low as 7.5%. Everywhere else it's at least 8 to as high as 10%....

Your fees would be the same if it were in state. Most of that cost is sales tax.

True. I'm passing and staying with my 2015. Ordered and on the water. Leasing. And if anyone doubts why go on the DMV website and get sticker shock for "use" tax if you buy a car here. Sickening

You still pay it for a lease, just monthly and on the amount of your payment. They always get their money.
