Be easier to find a CPO'd Carrera GT.

Wait until end of the year when dealers get their 2015/16 GT3 allocations.

If you are willing to pay a premium, a sponsor of this forum, inside car connection, should be able to help you out. I was able to get mine this way, nice guy and nice service.

^..... are you a broker or just passing your own spot....
if i were to give my own spot. i give for free and have in the past.
and in return, after years of giving away allocations, someone gave me his RS4.0 allocation free as well.

+1

Have given away (including 4.0 RS) or sourced over a dozen allocations for RL members. Never asked for anything. Selling allocations is for pimps.

Don't pay a premium. Car has had a magnitude of problems and there are allocations out there. Many people backed out. Just call every dealer and ask to speak to the sales manager and tell them you are ready to pay with a check today, and you'll find one.

Mooty tried to help me out, but there wasn't an allocation available for over a year and that was a little iffy.

Paying for an allocation in the grand scheme of things isn't the end of the world. It's like buying an airline ticket- if you plan ahead and make a long term commitment you don't need to pay a premium and you get the best fare. On the other hand if you need to travel next week, you pay full boat for the convenience and availability.

In my case I waffled on my GT3 spot and changed it to an RS last year which was a mistake- I dropped from 2nd on the GT3 list to 7th on the RS list. My needs changed and I prefer a GT3 so I was stuck, the broker helped me find 2015 build slot in October so I can do a PTS model- worth it to me.

I was assuming that rosenbergendo is now filling the role of 'negative on the 911 GT3 guy' that was previously held by wanna911 and others.

Most dealers will not allow a transfer of an allocation. The next person on the list is offered the allocation. I guess a way around it is to sell the allocation without the dealer being told and spec the car for the buyer who comes in to pay for it. But your relationship with that dealer is destroyed. Good luck on future allocations.

No negativity. Just an honest unbiased opinion on the car. You must agree-its been a total and complete nightmare for Porsche. It is quite possibly the biggest black mark on the company in a long long time. Look I might end up with one, but lets be real about the situation-it has been less than ideal. The car is essentially a 991 GTS (which is a nice car) with a motor that has never and most likely will never be used in any racing series. Porsche has gone out of there way NOT to use the drivetrain in even the 2nd year of the 991 CUP which was made for the DFI motor!!
This is a major change from before! And for those of us that track our cars that was a nice piece of the previous Gen cars!
