No but it makes absolute sense. Every iteration of the 991 has thus far been bonkers...

Doubtful they're one and the same. Model proliferation is the order of the day and Porsche are masters. No reason to expect them to change their stripes now, especially given production targets.

With base Caymans and 911's going 4 /6 cyl turbo anything is possible..

Look at BMW and MB..
It's all fine until you track them or hybrid the lag out of it.

GT2 or GT2RS in 991 trim would be DFI engine from TTS, GT3 PDK-S transmission, GT3 interior and GT3 suspension. Maybe some fancy lightweight panels if RS desination.

Basically a bigger, faster version of the 997GT2RS.

I have been hearing for awhile that there would be no 991 GT2, but that a GT2 RS is very much on the table (separate from GT3 RS)

Maybe the GT3RS is already done for a while but put in the freezer till better times (GT3's back and not breaking down on track or catch fire) and what we see running around now is a GT2RS tester either easy to camouflage due to the Turbo like intakes of the GT3RS or it's been a GT2RS all along and the GT3RS is just a GT3 with a wing, seats, regeared and the rest parts bin and maybe stick on wider front fenders only. Kinda like like the .2 997

Quick Reply: GT2 RS....
