First event at COTA in my completely stock GT3 coming from my E46 M3. I was struggling with driving it like my M3 I've been tracking regularly since 2010, so there's still a bit of adjustment I need to learn. This thing was an animal to drive on 8500 mile original Dunlop Sport Maxx Race N0 tires. Looking forward to slapping some PSC2 N1s on it and seeing how it compares! |
Just because this thread needs more shared video’s and be on page one...I was looking for a reference lap for Spa.I have a looong way to go...
Seems like 2:36 would be the ultimate target in ideal conditions for a unmodified .2RS?I know it’s been posted with comments by the driver here on Rennlist but can’t find it right now. Anyone? 2:39 is very respectable, but doubt I can find another 4 seconds unless weather clears up and I get new tires. Bested my time from 4 years ago in .1RS with my 2.439 today. Tomorrow looks like rain and we only had 3 mostly dry sessions today. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...24305900b.jpeg Bilsterberg, Germany Assen, Netherlands Nogaro, France Spa, Belgium—> Work in progress, fingers crossed the weather will improve. |

Having some fun with my friend Bob during Happy Hour at beautiful Barber Motorsports Park.:burnout:
My .2 GT3 and his .2 RS Hate seeing the full race BMW at the end.:surr: |
Any updates now that Spring/Summer track season is in full swing? I've been out beating up my 19 3RS. It is such a phenomenal track beast. Have only upgraded rotors, pads, brake fluid. Running Cup 2s was able to run 1:35.4 at MidOhio a few days ago. Ran 2.14.4 at NCM with a heavy passenger a few days prior, so suspect that one could have been 2:13s. (plus I always am a bit cautious with somebody else in car, then the temps hit 90s so track was too slick then) . See ya around!

VBOXHD2
Rennlister Shake N Bake can help. Racelogic / VBox is idiot proof, start driving and it starts recording.. All comes off the SD card as you see. Lots of data to study. |
My 2nd best lap around the Thunderhill 5 mile. First time on this track with the GT3, after 2 other times in my M3. I live in Washington, but I love taking the trek down to this track... You bay area guys don't know how lucky you are. Anyway, this lap was a 3:13.3. I did a 3:12.5 my next session but my gopro crapped out. I wish I had more time here. :( Orthojoe's 3:07 is amazing!
