hf1. I needed to buy the roll bar mount kit (around $30 USD).

Pictures below. The bottom one is my new height position for the cage mount - works perfect - with the GPS overlay using the Sonys GPS + Playmovies software it comes bundled with. Also great thing with new GT3 is it has 4 x 12v sockets so I have it powered permanently from the socket that sits at the back of the lift up centre console lid so I never need to change the battery. I can control via wifi if I wish from iphone mounted right hand side of driver corner of dash (reverse in LHD cars)...

1-Front tires are worn (3 hard track days) and the INSIDE is worn more.
2-The rears show less wear and the OUTSIDE is worn more.
3-Jason thought the car was twitchy and understeerd at corner entry as well having a tendency to snap over steer at some corner exits.
4-Rotors have minimal cracking and I am at my 8th track day total but it is not an excessively fast track (max speed that I reached 130mph)
5-The car does not come close to overheating. It hit 101 F (38-ish C) today and with 30 minute sessions, engine oil temp never exceeded 230 F (110 C).

I will make the following changes and see what happens:

1-Decrease front negative camber from -3.1 to -2.8
2-Increase rear negative camber from -2.5 to -2.7
3-He recommended increasing front pitch by 5 mm, so I will lower the front by 2.5 mm and raise the rear by 2.5 mm.
Took the car in today. Had it on the lift and the tech measured the tread depth. Surprisingly, what I saw was deceiving. Fronts are actually wearing only minimally more on the insides and part of that may be dragging the inner tire on turns and part of it street driving, so he convinced me to leave the -3.1 Front. He recommended adding a little toe out to the fronts and possible more toe in to the rears (within specs for that axle because of the RWS). Because of the perceived snap over steer in the rears, he will take the rear sway bar to the mid (stock) position. I hope this doesn't hinder rotation much. He didn't think changing the front height compared to the rear would make a difference in this car, unlike the very stiffly suspended Cup. Soooo, I am now confused but do trust him a lot so I'll see what those changes do and test Thursday, if I can make it to the track. Will be hard to tell because of fresh front tires so I'm not really sure I'll have any meaningful data. Why am I rambling???

Hi Sam. Been there, got the T shirt. Trsut the geo guy. One change at a time. Plenty of time to learn the best settings. Id suspect you could come back a bot on the front camber but you are close to optimal settings there. Road driving and some track triving will wear the insides quicker with those settings to be expected. Playing with toe is an option. Small adjustments only or it will feel twitchy like a go cart on the road with close to zero toe at the front. I think the real trick with these cars will be setting up the rear properly. I think its less about camber here more about toe....let us know how things feel out there next time out...

^^^ Great stuff. He must have been fairly experienced in that car. We had a 997TT with 600 bhp upgrade on the track during my GT3 track debut last weekend and he was just under 2s slower per lap on a sub 2 mile track (but much tighter with less straights for him to use his power/torque). My guess is he was driving the pants off that car whereas you probably still have more in you/yours. Good work...

The "He" was actually a "she."

After driving back into the pits, I saw "her" get out of her car and her husband jump in. Apparently, his GT2 broke down and they were driving "her" car this last day.

She was FAST, but I agree w/ you 100%. In the hands of more abled drivers than me, this car has A LOT left in it, no doubt whatsoever.

Great vid. I wonder about mic placement as the sound was intoxicating.

Thank you!

First 2 days since the car back?
How are the tires and brake pads holding up?
How much was automatic shifting and where did you override if at all?

Wow that turbo was booking and she ain't no slouch either. Seems to me the oem tires is hindering the 991 gt3. What are other gripper option tires for the 991 gt3? Do you have any idea what tires the turbo was running- looked very planted/stable in the tite stuff. Mike

I think they were at the DE last year at Pocono for the Audi Club NJ day. He had a white GT2 and was crazy fast and she had a turbo I believe. They trailered both in and it was a sight to see.
