Ride Quality Question: GT3 vs Turbo

From my many visits to Zuffenhausen since 1981, I can assured you that parking for finished production cars is limited INSIDE the small boundaries of the factory. I have walked all around it, including from across the tracks of the train line that borders it on the West. You can see most of the available parking in the Google map photos I posted. And the finished cars you see in my photos are about to be transported out. They are taken out by carriers to sea ports, train stations & other European destinations all throughout the day. So they normally don't gather much 'dust' at Zuffenhausen after production is completed. Anybody trained in finance like I was understands the reason clearly. It's called 'cash flow'. The quicker the cars are delivered to the customers or importers, the sooner PAG gets paid.
The 'stop sale' of the MY2014 gt3 earlier this year created a unique situation for PAG. Once the decision was made to complete the gt3's that started production (assigned a VIN, etc) but not ship them out, PAG probably could not store those cars at Zuffenhausen even if it wanted to! There is not enough space to park them. And to have them immobilized at these lots used for shipping cars out would have caused a logistic nightmare for the rest of the operation. My guess is that PAG contracted for some outside storage nearby to store these 'finished' gt3's before bringing them back to get their new engines. Whether this storage was 'covered parking' or not, I don't know. I don't think even Ian or anybody at PCNA knows. And the reason is that PCNA has their fair share of employees that are simply not that inquisitive. I am sure those of you dealing with them re: your gt3 orders have already found that out. So the bottom line is that we really don't know yet where these cars were stored in Germany. In the US ports, we saw where many were parked. And that was not, I admit, very encouraging!

Guys, I received the following response back from my "Specialist Factory Delivery" this morning, regarding my request to test drive a GT3:
I'm sorry but our GT3 is having it's motor being changed. So we don't have a car to test drive, neither do the Porsche Dealers in the area. Customer cars have first priority.
But I can assure you that the GT3 is even stiffer then the Turbo and the car seats aren't as comfortable as the Turbo either. So I would suggest you stick with the Turbo. What you also can do when your car gets back to the States, is change the Tire pressure to the comfort settings. In the TPM menu of your Bordcomputer there is a box to mark and it will tell you what pressure you need. That should help a little.
Regarding the other points made above in this thread, I can provide some further insight:
1) The GT3's that I saw were both in the covered park areas, and in the non-covered park areas.
2) In particular, a black GT3 with PCCBs and red stitching caught my eye in the covered park area. I was allowed to look at it, as I told the "Customer Consultant Exclusive & Tequipment" who accompanied us back there, that this was the configuration of the GT3 that I was SUPPOSED to be taking delivery of!
3) In looking at this black GT3, I asked him whether it was a 2014 or 2015 model year. He looked at a paper sitting on the dash (was NOT a window sticker) and said it was a 2014.
4) I asked him if this car had a replacement engine, and he said that did not need a replacement engine. So I'm assuming that this means it was produced with a NEW engine already in place.
We are heading over there again today... I do have a 200 mm lens. I'll see if any of these cars are visible from Adestrasse -- though I don't think they are, because they were back behind the covered car parks.
By the way, I solicited our factory tour guide for his opinion on the best GT3 color. He thought a moment, and then said with a lot of confidence: ACID GREEN. It's a new color, and he said that he's seen it already on the GT3. In his opinion, it's outstanding.

Took Euro delivery of a Turbo yesterday. Nice car, but not the GT3 that I'm still waiting for...
I notice that the ride quality of the Turbo is quite firm, and the car feels a bit heavy to me. (FYI, the Turbo I'm driving has PDCC, but I am keeping it in the OFF position.)
Can anyone comment on the ride quality of the GT3, as it compares to the Turbo?
I'm hoping that the GT3 feels lighter. (I suspect that it does) And I'm hoping that the ride quality of the GT3 is different/better... The Turbo is a bit jarring and "harsh," if you know what I mean... Very stiff and not much give to it at all.

I asked Melissa Witek, a Design Consultant at PCNA's 'Porsche Exclusive', last week about 'Acid Green'. She didn't think it was yet approved. But suggested that 'Lichtgrün' (see attached photo) is pretty close to 'Acid Green'. So whether the gt3 seen was 'Acid Green' or 'Lichtgrün', it will definitely look pretty darn good!

As a side note, I heard that PAG is seriously considering this other 'Recaro' sport seat for their Turbo S to make that model's differentiation even more pronounced!

Sam: It was marketing 'speak' designed to allay fears of a stiff ride. It's the same seat.

I was all set to buy a 997.2 GT3RS that my dealer had as my new DD to replace a 991C2S w/7mt that I had used as my DD for 2 years/37k+ miles. However, after driving the GT3RS, I realized that it would not make a good DD. So, I went with a 997.2 TTS instead and have been well pleased so far. The awd does make the steering a little heavy and I am still getting used to only 2 pedals, but the torque is intoxicating.
