This is the week Cat B swaps are slated to start! Looking forward to seeing who will be the first Cat B owner through the gauntlet.

According to my dealer, my Cat B car was sent from the Port of Houston to PCNA in Atlanta and arrived Monday the 14th. I am hopeful they got started on it immediately as opposed to waiting until this week. I sent an email to my dealer on Saturday asking for an update, but I haven't heard back yet.

John--I think you'll get a pleasant surprise this week!

Can't imagine them just waiting around.

What was the built date of your car and when did it arrive at port?

The car completed production 1/14/14 and was offloaded at the Port of Houston on 2/11/14, which was the day the stop sale order went out.

Thanks. What date had they given you for the engine replacement and the date you expected to get it. It appears you will get your car within a week or so.

PCNA gave me an "engine swap" date of the week of July 14th and a "delivery to dealer" date of the week of August 11th. I am hopeful it shows up a little sooner than that. My dealer says it is taking about four days for cars to get back to Houston from Atlanta.

I'm in the same situation. Maybe my car will be back sooner than the initial date of 8/11 as well

^ Guys, based on the updated info.; is it on schedule or ahead of schedule. And, if ahead, by about how many days.

Great question. I don't know for sure what an "engine swap" date means. Clearly, my car was at an engine swap location to begin the week of July 14th, which is what PCNA told me in May. My service advisor says it has typically taken two weeks after the car arrives at the swap location before it arrives back at the dealership.

Having said that, absent any new updates, I don't have any confirmation that the delivery of the car will take place any sooner that the promised week of August 11th. However, it's worth noting that most Cat A owners have gotten their cars back in less than the originally communicated four weeks after swap date, so I am hopeful I will see my car more quickly.

That said, I called PCNA today and only got the dates previously communicated in May, although the CSR said she would try to have a GT3 specific representative check further and get back with me.

I am in the same boat, Jimmy. We are going to Monterey/Carmel 8/10/14 until 8/20/14 for all the festivities, so I would love to get the car back prior to that so that I could at least get it to the detailer for Opti-Coat, Clear Bra, and Tint.

Tell me about Opti-coat. Is it just Paint sealer. I always use a Paint cleaner to prep my car after its first wash in the Spring and then use Rejex or Wolfgangs paint sealant and then after that just wax every 6 week(or needed) and repeat the process after the Winter storage. But, I have heard others' talk about Opti coat. Any insight would be appreciated

I have used C-Quartz Finest Ceramic Coating and Opti-coat as part of a complete new car prep package. In my opinion, it depends more on the skills of the applier than the particular coating used. Please check out this link from my detailer (no affiliation) for pros and cons:
