Right. The c7 is a competitor to the 991/ 991S. Hit Youtube. Many video reviews from Europe comparing the 991 vs the Vette.

i was at njmp track with my gtr and chevy offered c7 drive. i went straight from my car into vette back to back laps. vette is very impressive. other than power, i liked it more than gtr. made my car feel like sedan. reminded me of driving ferrari 430 esp steering. its a winner for sure.

btw, i sold my 997 gt3 in 2012 so cant really remember how it compares to vette. but i do like my gtr better than i did the gt3.

I am driving one right now that I rented from hertz. After two days first impression is that it is great for the money but not close to Porsche yet. The biggest weakness is the trans. The rental is auto and is no match for PDF. Shifts are really slow. Lots of torque but it is pretty quick, but steering is just okay, not nearly as good as a P car.

Yea, but you're comparing apples to oranges. I would try to eliminate the transmission observation and just evaluate on other features. Z06 will have a different transmission if we're talking non manual tranny... And real man row their own stick anyway ;-)
