Sorry to offend anyone, Yes That is what I meant. The 991 Turbo S is way faster in acceleration than a California and a 458. Its pretty obvious read the numbers in any car mag, The Turbo S is a beast. Yes, I have driven the cars except the California, never was interested. Where I live its a Latina Housewives kinda car.

Who cares? I saw a Chinese lady getting groceries in a 430 Scuderia when I live in Shanghai. Her young kid was in a car seat on the passenger side. What stereotype does that fall under?

this is a very stupid level of discussion. i have no issue with latina housewives driving ferraris or german bullies driving 991 TTS, but aside from this there is a basic issue, namely the feel of a car. while i am no fan of the californa i have to say that it outperforms the TTS in the feel-compartment. just listen to its sound...
could not care less about straight-line performance.

disclaimer: i own a 458 italia.

One thing I don't understand from this discussion : are you guys talking about the sound the original California makes or the California T from this video? To me,the California T sounds pretty lame, maybe it's just me who thinks that...

This is just a general question... where did Ferrari get the Magnetic fluid suspension from? See the U S A in your Chevrolet. Alas, that is a quality system to begin with.

Well, it isn't exactly the sound of the Pagani Zonda f 7.2 v12 amg either. To me, that car comes the closest to sounding like an F1 car on the street - which Ferrari was trying to do with their F50, but they had to detune the engine so much to make the car livable... what was the point of doing it in the first place? Now I'm saying the F50 isn't a great car but they made some compromises that could have been avoided.

Let me summarize.

1. The California is driven by Latina housewives.
2. The Turbo S is "the car" to have if you care about stop light to stop light drag racing.
3. Whenever someone says "I don't mean to offend"' he actually offends.

As for your question, the original California sounded great. The California T sounds like a turbo charged car (which it is), with a muffled exhaust sound, but has significantly better acceleration.

Perfect summary. Let's face it, even on Rennlist you can find A holes. The old mine is the best and yours is for minority housewives mentality. TTS is awesome but so is the California and I would be proud to own either.

Was just talking cars, No need to call anyone an A-hole. Did I personally offend you? Just bringing in some humor to the convo. But its all personal preference, Personally The Cali. never did it for me, Always thought of it as just an exhaust note with the Ferrari badge. All I mean is the 991 Turbo S is a way better performer than any California. And yes in Miami the Cali. is primarily driven by chicks

I'm not Latino but as a matter of fact I did find it offensive. A holes stereotype. Does that offend you?

Oh, no stereotyping at all. Just based on observations living in LA. Very elegant car, and I see it more as a competitor to SL63 and Bentley Continental GTC. My point was that for this price, you comfortably get into Scud, 458 and MP4 territory, which I believe would appeal more to those who prefer driving engagement than riding in a luxury cruiser. And I always thought of Ferraris as being more of the former type, so the California feels a little awkward to me.
