I'd call it one easily.

In my opinion it's a super car for sure, but not a supercar! Haha

Everyone's definition will be different, but when I think of "supercar," images like these come to mind.

Is a 911 exotic?

Is 500HP enough?

Where is the aero tunnel P magnet bodywork?

Does it make your bits tingly?

Only the last question matters.

If the GT3 is your financial tip top...yes. If you have an F1 or a La Ferrari Aperta it's a fun toy daily driver and you park it on a curb.

All a matter of perspective and this is one case that public opinion does not matter (as opposed to color spec and we can all agree some colors are more super than others)

Wow - I remember this thread. I think C.J. summed it up quite eloquently.

Leaving money aside- my CR GT4 was quite beautiful to me and looked like a mini-supercar. Problem is it was not fast enough to be in that category. To each their own

Awesome sports car but I don't feel it falls into super cars.

My idea of a supercar is one I cannot comfortably afford, hence the yearning and "tingling in my bits" when I see one.

The New Performante makes me "tingle".

The problem is I do not think I would welcome all the attention

Agreed, I'll add that to my "supercar" criteria. Those vehicles I could comfortably afford and would like to have except for the unwanted attention.

For some reason in my head I think of super cars as purpose built and not sharing a platform. To me, a GT3 is still a mass produced 911 built on an assembly line with some go fast bits attached.
That isn’t supposed to be a negative though! I just think it’s more of a fantastic sports car. To me the 720S is a supercar. No shared platform, all components (mostly) purpose built. Just a quick example though.

edit; then again I think of the gt2RS as a super car. What the hell, I don’t know what’s real anymore

definitely. Love the car but I don’t know about the attention. Most people don’t look twice at the gt3. I can always tell it’s an enthusiast when they lose their mind though haha.

I like CJ's description but would also add that it makes my eyes go big when I floor the loud pedal or that it contorts my face in a corner.

As far as tingle, CGT, GT2, Performante, P1, F40, Enzo. The newer generation of cars with 1000hp+ and such I'd consider hypercars: cars with more performance than could reasonably be used.
