Default Roof Rack & Trailer

Please don't point the barrel at me for saying this, but does the GT3 have the little slits to mount a roof rack? I think this subject was touched on but no one was able to answer as non of the cars were delivered at the time.

The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of throwing track wheels/tiers up there for track days. I wonder if this would even work??? Saw a pic of a 997.1 GT3 doing it and got me wondering.

Also, another reason is to throw on a roof box (to hold luggage, and incase you were thinking why would I need that amount of luggage for a few days? my wife will be able to take that question) for long distance journeys to track days or long road trips here in the Middle East.

Another thing, I saw a hole right behind the license plate, is that a mount for the tow hook to the rear? Would it be possible to screw in a tow hook for a trailer?

You guys might think I'm nutts right about now, but I assure you I'm not the only one thinking on this wave length. I want to be able to take some Track tiers without throwing the GT3 on a trailer and towing it. There are many nice tracks here in the Middle East to just drive to in a GT3 with a roof rack and trailer mounted to it.

There are no roof rack slots. Don't know anyone of who has used the rear tow hook fitting as a trailer hitch, but somehow it sounds like a really bad idea.

I've seen plenty of people hauling tires on tiny trailers attached to GT3s back in Toronto. It's just difficult to have a full-sized trailer and a truck living in an urban area.

I've seen too them on occasion but assumed they had a different arrangement than the built in tow hook. Should have looked more closely....

As Mike in CA has kindly pointed out that it is not possible to put a roof rack on. Only other possibility is to attach a hook. With that said, the 7.1 pulling that little trailer with tires on it is perfect.

I like the "GT3" on the White GT3 and that just reinforced my decision. I ordered that from Bumper Plugs painted satin black and will replace the "Porsche GT3" on the 991. It is also larger than the "GT3" emblem on the 991 so should look great.
