Alessandro, in SF - sales manager, told me the other week that the MP4 aftermarket is very healthy.
This is such an anamoly tyle blip on the supercar radar. People dumping their cars so quickly I don't get it. I've heard of examples trading privately around $210 K- $215K territory.

^argueable for sure. I had a deposit on one and dropped it after a service advisor advised against heavy track use. I bought another gt3 instead. Track car of the decade price included? ZR1. Well under $100,000 and blistering fast. Fastest street car I've seen at Cota. I can't keep up with one on my best day in an RS.

McLaren CEO talks about a P1 successor & future plans
Company could offer an EV
McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt has revealed some new details about the P1 successor.
Speaking to Edmunds, Flewitt said the 2017 P15 won't be a replacement for the P1 because its successor "needs to be a technical step-change." He declined to go into specifics but said another P1 "could be 10 years away."
On the topic of the future, Flewitt said McLaren will be building 4,000-6,000 cars annually by 2024 and they will all be hybrids even if they use a "basic form of hybridization." While that's still a ways off, the executive said they will likely offer two or three mainstream models as well as specialty vehicles such as a P1 successor or an electric vehicle.
In related news, the publication is reporting the 2015 P13 will feature a detuned version of the company's twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine. They declined to give specifications but said the model will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately four seconds and have a top speed of 298 km/h (185 mph).

Another one bites the dust. I dropped my Cat B MY2014 thanksgiving delivery GT3 and picked up a 12C spider. This car is astounding.
I'm on the list for the RS, so we'll see when it comes around. Best of luck to all on this board.

Lumber - I heard they sold your car this morning. I guess that did not take long if it is the truth. I called in a favor to take it out for 30 min. and they did return my request conveying it was sold.

It's a great buy for sure but considering all those owners getting rid of their cars at great losses so soon, it makes me believe the car is not all that. Sure, fast, awesome, etc but clearly lacking an enjoyment factor. I don't expect the GT3 to have any similar turnaround, not even close. Because of that, my opinion is that the GT3 is the buy of the decade right now. Granted, I only sat in the McLaren, never drove it.

I do not particularly like its styling. The 12C that is. A little low key so I can see how some may like it who do not want to draw to much attention but the car does not move me. Sort of like the Audi R8 I traded in. Loved it until I looked at it every day in my garage and it lost its luster quick. Never had that problem with my 997.2 Red Turbo. God I wish I never got rid of that car.
Now, I will reserve my opinion on the 650S until I see it in person. In pictures it does look a little more radical than the 12C

There is no best car. There is no deal of the century. It's all subjective. Try it. If you like it. Buy it. Smile.

Believe it or not, the car gets more attention than a Ferrari (or Porsche for the matter). Maybe because it's the new kid on the block and many people are not familiar with the marque.
