MM exclusively makes the gt3 rsr exhausts, long hx with Porsche. Fvd is their distributer world wide.

I installed one on my 4.0 with side muffler delete. M&M has a history with Porsche Motorsport and European teams have been running their exhausts for years. I wanted the provenance of a source that could satisfy racing demands and was intimately familiar with flat six applications. Good product. Eddie at Race Parts Warehouse is the distributor in the US. No need to go through FVD.

^So the sport exhausts that FVD promote are all built by MM??

I ask that because about 3-4 years ago I spent 8 months(took my time) investigating various sport exhausts for my 2007 997.2 Turbo. In the end I settled on FVD and ordered it from Rhonda down in FL. It also so happens that my Dealership was promoting their exhausts, as well. I could not of been more satisfied with the sport exhaust. It was built fabulously and the sound was as advertised. It made my Turbo sound like the old air cooled Porsches of the past. - freakin loved it

I spoke with Rhonda about 3- months ago and they were in development of an exhaust for the 991 GT3 until the "stop sale" and the GT3 they had for testing was sent back to the factory. I am going to call for an update

For a while I believe FVD was branding and distributing an M&M manufactured product. I am not sure what the status is today.

Is it safe to assume that if you had a bypass on the old engine that it should just be "plug and play'" on the new engine?

I assume you mean cat bypass ? Logically I would assume so, but you know what the first three letters of assume are. I would verify plumbing diameters etc.

Yes mm makes all their exhausts, you'll get a much better price from Rhonda at fvd.
I just got a bunch of stuff from fvd w mm stamped on it, they even have a link for mm on their website.

FVD has a 997 GT3 MM exhaust with a hefty fine. Would it be safe to say the 991 GT3 MM would be for that much? Quite steep if you ask me.

I will check their web but their complete exhausts usually run about $4500 but they also come with a pretty good performance upgrade. If they have made a complete exhaust for the Gt3 I would considert it in a heart beat. Like I said earlier; I investigated, in depth, many exhausts for my Turbo and the FVD was just fantastic. Their Customer service needs some freakin help but their expertise with Porsche exhausts is on top of their game. I would recommend them for any one with a turbo or another variant that they did not get the factory installed sport exhaust.

But, I really do not want to screw with the 991 Gt3 exhaust but I am going to do the 3rd muffler bypass for a more outrageous sound. exhaust sound is important to me. I need to make sure my neighbors understand that, as well.

I came across this ad hoc bystander video posted on YouTube:

Just a stock GT3 pulling away. Can Cat A owners weigh in on the sound? Seems pretty loud stock?

That sounds stock to me. You should hear it with the Sharkwerks Bypass - the hair on your arms would stand up.

The GT3 stock exhaust is not that quiet. I like it and most would not change it. Some may even find it too loud. For me though I need more noise. I just love load exhausts but it still needs to sound good but not artificial

Thanks--good to hear. I fear that once I hear the Sharky live, I won't be able to resist.

+1 Mr. Jimmy-D, I like my ears to bleed! By virtue of a nice sounding exhaust ofc.

Excellent!
trying to figure out the safest logistics scenario to get Sharkwerks installed after engine fix.
Think I'll just order it, and bring to dealer so they can install immediately after car is returned from the port with new engine. Please advise ASAP. LOL

--Or, is there any chance Sharkwerks will re-design after the new engine software?? I have no idea. Maybe I'll call them.
