Is 991 front axle lift kit adjustable?
Say, after purchasing a 991 GT3 - when all the engines have been swapped and this little bubble bursting on the price of the 997 GT3's and floor falling out... Does Porsche provide a way to adjust the front's axle system. Like swap out struts or springs for a different set if I feel the ride will be too harsh as a daily driver?
Also, if I do make a GT3 into my DD I might ditch the rear wing and keep it for the next owner. Replacing it with just a Ducktail. I couldn't put a turbo wing that lifts because it isn't wired for one correct?
Please keep all thoughts of castration and witch hunting to yourselves please. I just want a higher power alternative to the turbo and as each day goes by the GT3 looks like a bargain compared to all the other 911s I have configured. The prices are just getting silly.

Sounds like a nicely optioned 991S with a PowerKit would be a good fit for you.
BTW, a GT3 has less HP than Turbo.

AFAIK, the lift system is integrated into the strut so it may be difficult/impossible to change the shock valving for the combined unit. Different springs could probably be substituted but then not only would the front spring/shock relationship be out of whack but the front/rear balance would also be compromised. Personally, I don't think you will find the on-street ride of the GT3 objectionable.

My optiones/config Turbos turn out to be hovering around $200K and that is for non S.
My optioned S/4S usually cost as much as a good GT3.
No way I'm hell I'm paying that huge premium on PowerKit to get such little return. Ultimately you're spending over $1000 per horsie.
When it comes down to it the GT3 is the best bang for your buck, by a lot, now that they literally took all the 911s "Up Market"
I know I could go Aftermarket on the lift kit. But coming in at nearly $10K is crazy when you can get it for much, much cheaper from Porsche installed. However the difference is I know that the aftermarket options are adjustable.

By DD do you mean drive to work everyday in traffic? If you would drive a 911 for this, I don't see any problem doing it with a 991 GT3. Just get use to the added attention and ignore anyone that tries to egg you on.
It's pretty smooth with the suspension in std mode, and purrs with PDK in non-sport mode. I've had a 911 loaner, for about 6 weeks, for driving around to Home Depot, and supermarkets, and keep wanting the GT3 back. -- FWIW... ($=0 cause it's free info.. lol) From my experience, No matter how much aftermarket stuff you put on a 911 it will never feel like a GT3.
PS On the Wing. In real life it's the best looking wing I've seen on a GT3. With all due respect, It doesn't look 'suburban body shop cheap' .

You guys are starting on selling me on the OEM kit and keeping it standard. But the OEM kit lifts it 1.2 inches while the aftermarket, Cargraphic(?), goes 2.5 does doubling the lift really matter that much?
And what alternatives would I have for the wing? Driving around town here with that is just asking for a challenge from every kid with a Honda Civic Hatchback and a Fart-Can exhaust.

The PowerKit cost $17,800 total. Additional 30 HP. An intergrated system, not just a tune or bolted on stuff. It bundles the PSE ($2,950) and Sport Chrono ($1,850) into the package.
So, if you back those out of the total cost, you have a $13,000 upgrade for 30 extra HP, different intake system, brain, 3rd radiator and some other technology.

I agree w/ LexVan.
I would get the C2S with the aero kit( the ducktail is a different package I think) and power Kit.
Based on your post above you would be very happy with this set up.

I particularly enjoyed this post :
Btw: I don't want to imply anything but I found the same user name here:

Would actually explain a lot...
But funny reading your stuff nonetheless...
