2015+ Allocations
I know this is a topic frequently here, but does anyone happen to know if any dealers have any 2015 allocations left, or if any dealers have lists for 2016s? It's unfortunate there isn't an easy way to find out without calling every dealer in the country. Thanks!

Some dealers will say anything. As far as I know, US dealers have not yet been allocated any 2015 GT3s for new builds. The only currently allocated 2015 GT3s are for previous 2014 build orders that didn't get built. During the past six months, some dealers have told customers, who didn't get a 2014allocation, that they will get a 2015 allocation slot. That was just a projection by the dealer who was assuming that they well get X number of GT3 allocations for 2015.

^ All correct above. if they get any 'true'(not reclassified) 2015 allocations it will be late 4th quarter. It is still speculation what Porsche will do but the run will certainly be cut short because they are already using 2015 allocations for the 2014 reclassified cars. It does certainly look like Porsche will protect perceived depreciation on the engine replacements because supply will certainly be limited

In July of 2013, Porsche announced allocation plans through December of 2014. The July-December cars were always going to be MY 2015. Those allocations didn't just go away, but they are not yet buildable. I have been told that most will be put off until late 2014 and well into 2015. They are though original MY2015 allocations.
I have talked to multiple dealers who still have not had the Q3 and Q4 cars pulled; they are just delayed.

That's good news, I suppose. Assuming they don't change it much (if any) for 2016, then I'm still curious if any dealers still have any of those 2015 allocations available. It seems like some of the shadier operations have just ordered cars themselves and are selling them (usually over MSRP). I have no interest in paying over MSRP, so I was looking for an allocation. I guess I may need to wait for the first batch of 2016 models, and for that, I am still curious if any dealers are taking names for lists. I'd love to get in line for a 2016 in that case.

mcsmsc1 - Yes, all the Dealers received there 2014 allocations a while ago and they were all taken pretty quickly.
But - the curve ball was the move of 2nd quarter 2014 allocated cars to the 4th quarter and reclassifying them to a 2015 which was never their original plan. Yes, there were late 3rd and 4th quarter builds that were probably going to be 2015s, but some unexpected 2014s took future 2015 potential slots.
There is also a Gentleman on this forum who spoke directly to the COO of Porsche USA who was told he could not get a 2015 slot because none have been announced nor available at this time because some 2014s have moved in to some 2015 slots.
There will certainly be new 2015 allocations announced some time in the 4th quarter but no one knows how many and it is expected to be less than the original plan before the con rod screw fiasco.
Any Dealer taking deposits is acting recklessly and playing games because there could be some very disappointed Customers if they get half of what they expected.

You're right, until the 2014's get their new engines, who knows how long this will be.

With reference to 2016, history shows GT3s tend towards two year production cycles. Given the amount of talk over emissions regulations and fleet average MPG, I think an unchanged 2016 991 GT3 is unlikely. More likely IMHO is that 2016 will have no GT3 production and the next gen GT cars will emerge in 2017.
