Trying to get a feel for the actual numbers regarding the 2014 cars.

I keep flip flopping with my car at Port but all the guys above me actually own them and have driven them. I am a keeper because they believe and any one who touches this car falls in love. And I am talking some tough critics out there actually own this car so I am in

Agreed - keep the car - it is epic and will be very much worth the wait. I have mine currently parked in my garage and as tempted as i am to drive it, just the memories bring a smile on my face for the short month of driving I did (and 1400 miles) and that is enough to get me through this. There really isn't anything else out there (except maybe a 458 Speciale) that is similar enough to replace this, and that is over double the cost. I just can't think of anything that will be better to me, and believe me, I have tried!

I'm planning on taking delivery...

That said, the lack of communication--CLEAR and accurate communication, in order for my expectations to be set. The disparity of compensation has already been very adequately articulated. But the issue of communication, time frames, etc.--that part has been sorely lacking.

In business and in life, when someone says they'll call and they don't or they'll have an "answer" and they don't, I think I can safely say that most of us note it and it taints our impression of that person and gives us pause with regards to future dealings. I think that applies here.

I want to be treated with respect. Some have multiples of the money I have to spend on what amounts to a personal passion. But I'm still spending $160k that I worked hard to earn. I don't want to be left feeling like I'm a pest for calling to get updates. Compensation would be nice, but, in my book, how you treat a customer goes well beyond compensation.

+1 Tim. Im back on the wagon and will keep it. Its only a few more weeks. Heck, I've been promised the car since Jan so June July is not going to kill me. I picked up a new hobby of fly fishing to keep my mind away from this and it is helping. As great as the car will be, I'm just annoyed that we are all treated like a step child which is wrong.

I was cleaning the garage yesterday so I turned the car on, backed it out of the garage, revved it (with both paddles pulled) to 8,000+ RPM a couple of times (I hope I don't shorten the engine's life) and the car sounded like pure heaven. It wanted to keep revving and revving. Reminded me of what a special car it was on the road and on the track. I am a very impatient person but I know what I have in the garage.
I realize it is a small sample size but I am somewhat skeptic about the 35% cancel/return rate.

Absolutely right and I believe this is short sightedness from Porsche. Many manufacturers have the 911 eyed as the car to beat. It is only a matter of time that one (or more) of them will succeed in building a comparative car (to the GT3) in the same price range. Because of this Fiasco, many customers may very well change their "loyalty".
