One poster on facebook called it a 'Porsche nine-a-lemon', lmao...
Shame it had to come to this before Porsche did the right thing by Nick. Two outcomes really, Nick gets the outcome he deserved in light of the nightmare he's had to endure and Porsche got schooled on the consequences of trying to sweep genuine customer issues under the carpet in the digital age... Surely their reputation has got to be worth more than the few thousand dollars they tried to screw him over for... Or not considering their arrogance with his situation. Nice...

Great result for Nick Murray. I'm very happy for him. Does this mean that Porsche still need a bruising before they'll do the right thing or have they leant an invaluable lesson?
I'm putting my money on a bruising!

What Porsche has truly been reliable though? Not the 996. There were a ton of non GT motor failures with the IMS. Now coolant issues. The 997 continued the coolant tradition and added some exploding pressure plates and clutches etc. I'm pretty sure the boxster and Cayman had some motor issues to. Now the 991 with its issues. Maybe the Cayenne? Panamera?
I had to give it the beans until I smelled coolant burning, I knew it was time to call the tow truck
could have been prevented by changing them out before they made a mess and potentially damage the engine
And don't get me started on the cardboard brakes, they are good brakes, but they do not last $$$$$$

Good news, and funny stuff, on the latest vid.
If it were me, I'd take the refund check and turn right around and buy another 911 out of some dealer's inventory.
Ordering bespoke will lose the entire summer.

Myself and SierraMike posted it on our twitter and facebook accounts when it was at 16000 views. Id imagine many others did too. Then it appeared on this board in multiple threads, Pistonheads and others and then Yahoo home page. Its a proliferation model we have watched to learn from...

I think it was that he had posted so many before hand where he'd shown true passion for the product, he had documented all his claims via video and with this final one a great number of people on the 991 site etc shared his video and made sure automotive online publications saw it... Social media and online motoring journals where the means, people's disgust with his situation was the catalyst...

Honestly, Nick is such a class act with a great sense of humor. He could have really beat them to the ground but instead he took the high road and said good things about Porsche making sure to point out that his case was beyond the ordinary. Personally, I hope he stays in the porsche family. This will do two things, it will give him the feeling of falling in love with the car he's dreamed about for a long time. And it will also reaard Porsche for doing the right thing, which will hopefully benefit future customers who may go thru similar instances because now they've learned how to handle such extraordinary circumstances. I know it'll never happen, but if he does decide to take another Porsche, I'd love to see them give him a 2015 GT3 for the same price as a token of saying thank you for staying with us through this rough time. Cheers Nick!!!

Oh one last thought, social media is being credited with the uprisings that happened in both Egypt as well as Libya and obviously Porsche's decision to do nick correct. So for business owners big and small as well as those who reside in public relations/customer support, let this be a reminder of the power of living in the media age. Bluehinder, I'll take that apology now lol j/k cheers

The video clearly shows he has a rear mounted camera and what looks like a front mounted camera or radar detector - I wonder if these are plumbed into the fuse panel that is now causing problems. Did all the electrical issues start after he or the shop that installed these did their work I wonder?
