Rumor has it the RS will debut at GoodWood this June. This was announced after the fire issue so it may be true. We shall see. Car looks nice!

Yes is supposed to unveil in June / GoodWood before the GT3's fire fiasco. It has now been delayed for a few months. They want to make sure the RS engine doesn't go the same way as the GT3. Also I think because of the GT3's fire fiasco it has taken a toll on the testing period of the RS. They shifted all their resources to get to the roots of the GT3's fire issue. Having said that, RS will still be based on the GT3 3.8L engine but pushing it to 500hp or there about. Acceleration will no doubt be slightly quicker but top speed is down because of its massive aerodynamic package. One thing for sure it will use the Turbo S 's body shell to advantage of its much wider track. IMHO it will be a more focus no compromise hardcore track weapon. No radio, air-con, thinner glasses all round, lightweight battery & headlights to reduce weight further. Just like the previous gen RS. Have a smashing weekend to all of you. Cheers mate!

Delay debuting the RS might but the unveiling at Pebble Beach, The Quail/Zentrum! Not unless they want to push it even further back to perhaps the LA Autoshow?
I don't know if there are any car shows that Porsche attends that would be worth of an RS unveil, and SF and Long Beach aren't either.

I would put money on them unveiling it in Paris. It's a major European show that alternates with Frankfurt every other year. I was there in 2007 when they released the 997.1 GT3 RS in the Silver and Orange combo.

they need to get the non RS out and sell a bunch before they distract those buyers with a RS...
the 2014 is looking to be a rare model given the numbers sold to date. Rarest GT3 to date? lol

My .2RS was the first P car I've owned and got it used. How does one get on the "list" for a new RS? Do I have to know someone really cool or do I just walk into a dealer and say I want to put a deposit. I'm sure the 991 RS is all spoken for...

One thing you guys are forgetting, lifting a front tire isnt always a good thing. If its lifting the inside tire on a turn, it often means you need stiffer suspension and you're getting body roll. Not saying thats the case here, but dont be too impressed about lifting the front tire. My '72 911 with essentially stock suspension and small 215/55/15 front tires and 225/50/15 rears lifted the inside tire too. Looked impressive but realistically I knew it was the body roll and lack of shock travel length that made the tire lift. But to the uninitiated, my car was just badass lol

I don't see the front tire lifting at all in that photo. Looks to me like the pavement falls away; perhaps the entry to one of the karousel sections.
The RS does look great, though!
