LOL. I live in KY, which is ground zero for Corvette worship....I guess I just dislike them because they are freaking everywhere around here.

Ive driven most of the late model Astons....and couldn't wait to get out of them.

The manual DBS was such a let down... big, heavy, slow, boatlike...

The cars look nice, and sound nice,....and it ends there unfortunately

I think the Vantage GT may be lighter on its feet at 3500lbs
But yeah, it will never be a track weapon like the 997RS

I wonder what the Mercedes AMG GT will run?
Looks very sexy!

It will prob be lighter than 3600, but for the life of me I really cant figure out why the Vantage is so heavy given it small size. The 991 is bigger AND lighter.

If thye new Vantage S V12 came with a 6 speed manual would it then get your utmost attention??? I love the styling but why they dropped the Manual I do not understand but I guess the same argument would apply to the GT3

Or the same to apply to the 8 cylinder. Is the car also still steel or the moved to more aluminum?

Why would it weigh less than what showed on the scales previously? Unless I am missing something, this 'special edition' doesn't have any lightweight materials or deleted items...just fewer paint, leather, and thread choices, and some RS-style stripes and lipstick.

In fact, it should be heavier, as there will be $20k more in the driver's wallet than there was in 2009.

the 2015 Aston Martin GT for $100k is really something conssidering a 2007 GT3RS is 7 years old and $100k.

Which would you rather is the question.....

I do prefer the long wheel base Aston Martin over the short wheel base to be honest.

I think id have to take a green 2007 GT3 RS for 100k.

the stick weighs slightly less, and i do recall more AL in the past few yr. By less than 3600, i dont think it will be much, prob 35xx. I have a lot of seat time in the Vantage. Its a HOT car for sure, but its incomplete. the 997.2 and the 991 are better in very metric, except say, the exterior looks.
Kudos for AM for bringing this car for $100k, but lets not forget that it will be a 9 yr old platform coming from a car company run by bankers w/ a cookie jar for an R&D budget.

Absolutely loving mine, the auto box works really well once you work out how to use it, it gives a level of involvement like a manual shift, just different...
