He has 100 people to call as does the other person at Porsche assigned to customers. He has always called me back. These people are just order takers and read from a script.

Let me know if you get a loaner and if you do I will contact him to get a loaner as well. My letter was the same as yours.

It seems there are two groups, those that have been pushed to 15s and those still with 14s either delivered, at port or in production.

Your latter is what the latter group got. You should be getting a call with financial compensation too.

The people on this thread with 15s are still waiting to hear what the compensation is. An educated guess for 14 deliveries of in production cars seems to be aug/sep if not sep/October. 2015 cars are being told sept/October. No one has a firm date on anything.

Well my 2015 (originally 2014 order) is in the Porsche system as a ED for October from the original date of May 16. If I choose just to pick it up from my dealer and skip ED they are quoting December. Build start date is showing September which makes sense since 2015 builds would start after the August shut down.

But why wouldn't it get here till December? They told me September build October delivery. I'm going to be pissed if it's December.

September is the build start. 2015's begin after summer shut down. With a September production start I could do a ED and pick it up in October at Porsche Germany but you have to tack on 45 days for delivery to your US dealer which puts it in Early December. I was original told I would have an ED pick up in September after I was pushed into 2015 which made no sense to me.

It sounds like it won't be shut down in august, speculation is that they will be working on 14s. But I've been told my build slot is September / October at the earliest. And I have what I think is at the front of the line.

Well I was told of being at the front of the line also. Builds for new model always start at the end of August summer shut down. This is Europe and things shut down in August. For production to not shut down the entire work force would have to be there. Not happening. My build start date has shown up today as first week of September which is right after August shut down. It finally makes sense. Porsche updates it's production to switch to the new model year in August in time for plant start up effective September. I kept getting forecasts of June and than September completion and I kept telling my dealer it's not possible and they new it. Porsche is not changing it's entire production schedule for just our few GT3's. I believe they made the decision to move us to 2015 based on how many GT3's and engines they could produce before the August shut down. Those are 2014's and the rest of us are 2015's beginning production after the August break. In addition we are hearing 2014 cars being scheduled for dealer delivery as late as October which would match rolling off the production line prior to the August shut down.

Wtf. And, btw, all the marketing about the initial delivery of Macan's is really pissing me off as our cars are sitting idle at home, the dealer, ports, and the production line.

Agreed so September is the first month for 2015 builds. Did you already get a week? We haven't heard yet. Have you heard anything about compensation?

Another option M718 situation? With MY14 GT3 being given a MY15 VIN but without all the production line changes that will take place between MY14-MY15? In which case, long term MY14 owners won't take a $$$ hit for owning a MY14...

It just showed up today based on call from my dealer. The earlier dates I was given I never believed. One thing that Porsche can not change is plant shut down in August. That's a requirement for both labor issues and requirements for normal production line switch to new model year. As a result I believe they will finish 2014 production including new engine builds by end July. Keep in mind they estimate almost 45 days for shipping the new cars to the US but at times beat that estimate. Remember that last year folks were expecting cars early December but things got delayed to end of December.
