Thanks, Mike. I forgot about the panel in the rear.

Basically, the best spent money for leather is the "full leather" option. Dresses up the interior substantially--if that's your preference.

I agree, Tim. Not many of the Porsche options are "bargains", but relatively speaking the full leather one is.

Now, isn't this more fun to talk about than stop sales and getting screwed on compensation?

Indeed!

Now if only we could be sharing stories that begin with, "I got my car...!"

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but still relevant. If one does not select the "Door Trim Package in Leather/Alcantara" option, what are the highlighted green components made of (assuming one has the Leather/Alcantara interior option). The configurator is quite vague.

We specialize in modular interior Leather/Alcantara parts for Porsche models and the highlighted parts are done in Leather (A-pillar triangle trim and door end cap). The Airbag trim can be done upper-half in leather and lower Alcantara or the whole unit can be done in leather. If one does not select the trims, they will be left in bland plastic

These cars are very expensive. Are they worth it?

My thought is that if you are building your own, get what you want! The overall impact on cost for most options is arguably negligible. "Is it worth it?" These discussions are circular, imo.
