I think the balance (785 - 139) includes vehicles delivered ROW plus undelivered vehicles for both U.S. and ROW. I seem to recall reading 408 had been delivered worldwide as of the stop sale.

Brian: I don't think so. Please recall something Porsche said a couple of weeks ago and was reported in the press.

Correctamundo.

"The 785 cars that will have their engines changed include 408 in the United States. Half the cars in the U.S. have not yet been delivered to customers and will have the engines replaced before they are sent to them, a Porsche spokesman said."

I was told by PCNA that 400 or so cars in the US are affected. I believe of that number around 200 have been delivered.

Thanks, Eduardo! That's where I saw the 408 number. I appreciate the correction.

i feel at the end of the day, the cars will be amazing and the engines as well.. and will all work out.. my 2 friends have cars waiting for transplant... and mine has been pushed to 2015 model year... i've been told by some that have driven it and have gt2rs's and 997 gt3's thatg it's the best car they've ever driven.... and that means a lot to me given their collections.

Eduardo,

I stand corrected, my number (139) is only punched cars in the US.
First I've heard of the 408 number and it makes sense.
Sorry for any confusion I've caused

5 Rennlisters in USA have submitted delivery dates to this forum for December, 2013:

930man - "mid" 12/2013
FLM911 - 12/19/2013
est8esq - 12/20/2013
Bluehinder - 12/23/2013
SamFromTX - 12/31/2013

These 5 are presumably only some of the USA December, 2013 deliveries,
as only data for 21 USA delivered GT3s has been submitted to us on Rennlist.com

Where is this data coming from? From PCNA? Questioning how accurate it is, based on known deliveries to USA in December ...

My #'s come from PCNA.
I asked about Dec deliveries and was told there were none.
Perhaps they did not get "punched" until Jan for whatever reason.

"One more thing were there any US sales for Dec 13?"
Answer:
"Dec - nope."

As each of us "delivered" owners try to establish a best guess, with imperfect data (as well as lack of data), of where our GT3s sit on the timeline of engine replacements I think the Dec/2013 owners would appreciate being at the front of the line ...

Odd that PCNA is not is not recognizing apparent Dec/2013 deliveries ... hope that they recognize priority of the 5 rennlisters above who've taken early deliveries.

I speculate VIN #s will be used for pecking order of replacements..

As per communication with PCNA today, the engine replacements in the USA "will be done in the order the original GT3 orders came through to PCNA for the vehicle", i.e. not necessarily delivery date. No engine replacement date can yet be determined.
