At the very bottom of the page there is the option to change the look in the lower left (look for the pulldown in the blue bar), swapping to large and back to small makes everything look as it did previously for me.
I tried that but the "small" font is smaller than the normal font. Now my avatar is not on the header. Instead, there is an ad for Audi. Getting worse.
