they called me yesterday. girl on the phone seemed rather clueless. not that i was surprised.
either way, i cant see taking delivery of the car in late october, just in time to drive it home (thats if the snow isnt already on the ground) then park it for the next 6++ months.
even with the compensation of 200/month ~ $11000, it still doesn't seem worth it.

Mainly, I'm not sure I'm following all the details, but from the way I'm reading your posts, it sounded to me like your car never entered production (since you're quoting a new "production" date, vs a new engine install date). If so, then you'd be a "category C" car and I was under the impression there would be no monetary compensation for cars bumped to 2015 (so-called category C). Perhaps I misunderstood and instead your car is waiting for an engine, in which case August might then be possible. Sorry I didn't quite grasp what you were saying.

sorry. well everything ive said is correct. ??
my car was originally scheduled to be delivered in late april. last i talked to my dealer (last month) they checked on my car and it said "in production".
and as you know my car now has a delivery date of oct 17th.
i dont believe it ever had the old engine installed, but im not certain.
my car IS a 2014 and the compensation applies to me. i had both the dealer and porsche confirm those two facts.

Got it. That totally makes sense. Most likely you actually did complete production then, and are awaiting an engine at the factory. Category B, as it's known (not cat C). Thanks for clarifying and posting. And very helpful info, since there aren't many cat B cars out there, especially in Canada.

Has anyone got their car back AND compensation? I've been emailing and calling all departments and personel I can get a hold of - everyone is just stringing us along...

Just got a call and my allocation month is October 2014. We'll see as I was doing PTS and the person calling was unable to tell me if this was going to cause a further delay to this date or not.
Asked to have Ian call me to clarify this and if they will be honouring 2014 prices as I had ordered the Sports Chrono which is now $2,120 CDN
