I've driven the F-type convertible. While it may not be comparable to the R. I didn't like it and thought the steering was numb and had less feed back then my C2S 991. The hood is long and visibility is iffy. And my C2S was 2012 early model. The steering wasn't perfect either and I did miss my spyder steering feel.
The F-type looks nice but I'm not sure that if I owned one I could live with it too long. I certainly could keep a 911 for ever.

I am scratching my head a bit about the weak statement as well. I am not suggesting it is perfect, nor am I defensive about it, but I have a hard time reconciling his recent statement about that yellow one with the now "weak":

"It's got so much balance. It just feels like someone's done millions of miles developing it, making it perfect -- which of course, they have. It's so good at all of it, it really is a fantastic motorcar."

^^Exactly, right?!?! It makes no sense to me--CH praised it a few weeks ago and now, suddenly he says this? And he "loves" the ZF automatic?!

Maybe the video was meant to be released on 4/1?

Harris tweeted the following after his review:

@harrismonkey: Reckon 991 still has the edge as a driving tool, but I'm getting old and just love the way the F-Type coupe looks.

Have not driven the F type Coupe, but have put a few thousand Km on the V8 and V6, as well as a few weeks with the 991S.
I really liked the F type, ( apart from the zero luggage capacity on the vert), but I personally did not find the steering measurably better, and neither the 991 nor the F were anywhere close to the feel i get in my 997 RS.2

Right?! I feel like a lot of the reviews on /DRIVE this past year have been a bit off. First, reviewing mid size luxury sedans? The Chevy Volt?
