OBD connector
I have some small good news for a change. As was noted earlier, the box with OBD connector is poorly located, making it inconvenient to connect OBD loggers - they would be next to the dead pedal, potentially being damaged, and having the breaker panel exposed.
I found a very simple solution. I connected a low profile OBD extended, and there is enough space to close the box, and the flat cable of the connector exits the box without any issues. I then routed it under the floor mat to behind the driver's seat, and there connected to my OBD sensor. The cover closes completely and is not deformed or stressed in any way. The wire is completely immobile and out of the way. A one-minute solution for those who do not want to mess with making harnesses or routing wires.
Also, a nostalgic pic of how it used to be before the stop drive...

I do not remove the mat on GT3 because it's attached to the floor with very strong clips on all corners, so I see no reason to remove it - it's impossible for it to shift or get in the way while driving. I used to remove mats in other cars.

There is a way to route the cable under the main interior carpet, but I do not see the need for me.
