I'd post the pics here but don't want to be accused of plagiarism.

He says in the thread it's for the conrod problem.

Look at that motor! Wow, even the exhaust is attached. Great photos too.

I just posted a question as to whether the engine was being replaced and if so did Porsche send the engine.

If it is something Porsche is doing this is good news because the have started they process of replacing engines. The Middle East I believe got their cars first.

It would also indicate that Porsche is satisfied with the fix, quit testing and shipping engines.

OH, I failed to mention I posted the question on Sixspeed. We need to waste bandwidth here to keep someone happy.

Saludos,

Nickolas

That is seriously impressive. Click on the photos, they blow up with great detail. I've saved them to savor.

IMHO this is not related to con rod. How could only one person get the new engine. Think about it.

Would it have been so hard for PCNA to tell us this?

Who says it's one person? It's only one person taking pictures. Maybe more are occurring and don't know or care to document.

He says it's for the conrod. Why would he lie? Although you are right to be skeptical to believe everything on the internet.

Besides, you think Porsche is putting in another bad motor?

I deleted my previous post. Although I stick by my assertion that the new engines will be complete, I think what we may be looking at is the old engine that was removed. There are posts further along in the thread that make me say that plus the fact that the transmission is still attached.

Mike, you are correct, they come complete. I confirmed that with my tech who went to GT3 school (three techs went to school out of ten). Everything arrives bolted up, plug and play. There is even a jig used for proper alignment. Jack it up, bolts right in.

i was thinking along the same lines. Maybe they went ahead with removing the original while waiting for the new to arrive. And the OP admitted its not his car...?

So that's what it looks like.

Having looked through the engine lid, and having looked at the underside while on a lift - I have yet to see that which is pictured or anything that looks remotely like an engine.
