hahaha!
driver's selection.
they should rebuild them and create a new cayman cup category.
and homologate a street car around that.
500 street cars
285 race cars

Group buy?
I'll take the street edition.
They will never sell the once again neutered Cayman GTS.
2014 Cayman with 12,000 miles $54K
What would one get for a fresh engine transmission and brake system at the Porsche Drivers selection exchange desk?

cayman gts looks disappointing, doesn't it?
i think we all expected more.
i was told the engine was tipped to have more displacement, as in a 3.6, but it looks like the project was neutered yet again.
the interior is nice though....

yeah, it's ***** been castrated again.
nice street car though. pretty sufficient, but will cost $200k here, so moot point really.
used 987 cayman r is still $130k. that is more exciting i think.

Three Wheelin'
I speculated on this in the Stop Sale thread. My guess is that engines in undelivered cars, whether at the plant or port, will be rebuilt and replaced in cars as new. Engines from delivered cars will be rebuilt and sold as refurbs.
What'll be interesting is how Porsche handles the matching numbers situation. For cars still at the plant, it'll be easy enough to pull, rebuild and replace the same engine so all numbers match. But for undelivered cars at the ports, will Porsche send a rebuilt engine with a matching number? If so, what will happen to the engine that is pulled and returned to the factory? Can it's number be changed so that it'll go back out with a number matching the car it's intended for?
The above is nothing more than my guess
