Other problmes with the 991 GT3?
I was planning to order the new GT3, but the spontaneous combustion issue is kind of making me delay it until the 2nd production year, or at least until Porsche has a definitive answer/solution. It seems that even Porsche is not immune to first year production teething issues.
I do have a few other questions:
1. I heard the center-lock wheels or the hubs are not strong enough. There have been failures. Is this true??
2. Does the 997 GT3 factory roll cage fit the new GT3?
3. Has anyone found the right slicks for the car? Brand, compound, size?

1. true for the 997s... 991 were strengthened but only time will tell if they are up to the task...
2. Pass
3. Slicks and slick like tyres are not allowed with the 991. Also, slicks not currently available in 20s so u'd have to try and get 19s onto the car and ur next two issues will be tyre aspect ratios (to get same diameter) and warranty....
