The lawyers will get paid and class participants usually get much less than deserved. I am no fan of our tort laws and those who would sue anybody for anything with no consequences if the suit turns out to be meritless. These things cost money and if you're innocent the likelihood of being made whole for your trouble is very UNLIKELY.

The happy ending for the 2014 guys is they get a year old car with a new engine about the same time as the 2015's come out with a story attached. That is the shape I would have been in.

Or Porsche could have chosen to extend the 2014 production all the way to December 2014. That would have reduced considerably the disparity between production dates. Shortening the 2014 year just creates a leper year.
