Auto Express: 991GT3 vs. Aston Martin V12 vid

While owners are anxiously waiting for an update from Porsche on their cars, here's a vid to tie them over (must have been filmed before the stop drive);
:corn:

Personally I could watch videos of this all day....

Nice one thanks. Horrible conditions to have a go for a fast lap in MSC2s though.. Respect to the bloke, it looked like the perfect recipe for aqua planning :-)

Terrible conditions, but he said in the dry conditions prior to shooting, the GT3 was a full 4 seconds faster than the Aston! That being said, it's not really apples to apples here. The GT3 is by far more of a sporting vehicle whereas the Aston, as gorgeous as it is and as beautiful as the engine note is, it's still a sports version of a grand touring coupe. So it's not really a fair comparison, just automotive porn. Which is just fine by me, I LOVE me some automotive porn ;)

Agreed, not apples to apples. But 1.5 seconds on a ~1 minute track is a big difference. 4 seconds would be an eternity. That's ~10-12 seconds difference on tracks like Sebring, COTA, Road America, etc...
