Just got this in the mail

Dear Mr. Kaszuba:

Since our last communication to you, we have continued our direct contact with the engineers at Porsche AG in Germany. They have been working tirelessly to determine the root cause of the issues affecting some 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 vehicles. Last evening, we were informed that they were very close to finalizing their analysis. It will take us a few more days to solidify some of the details, and as soon as we have a more definitive resolution, we will call you to share the news. Please expect a phone call from us towards the middle to end of next week.

Please be assured that this issue continues to have the highest levels of priority and visibility throughout the Porsche organization worldwide, and that Porsche is committed to continuing to earn your trust. We are confident that our determination of the reasons for the issue and its solution are now days away.

Thank you for your continued patience as we ensure that you can enjoy the high standards of performance and safety to which your GT3 was designed and engineered. We take your loyalty to Porsche very seriously and we appreciate it.

Kind regards,

^ This makes the dates I was getting back from Porsche sound a lot more realistic now. Looks like ED on my original date may actually be possible! I got the same letter around 3:45 EST today.

I received the same letter. So my May 16 pick up looks promising.

Guys if this doesn't work drive the hell out of their car and enjoy your visit in Europe. Ship the new car home with zero miles and demand your money back for the Euro delivery. bingo

My dealer said he wasn't sure if they would supply a loaner and thought it would be unlikely. That being said I'm guessing this was just his thoughts and given the circumstances porsche might be ready to go to greater lengths of damage control.

SHizzle, who informed you your ED would be cancelled? Your dealer or Porsche directly?

I got a call from my dealer today and was told that there might be chance that they replace the engine in my GT3 in time for my ED April 17th. But if they weren't able to I'd still get a loaner for the trip, and hopefully a Turbo he said. Great news as now we don't have to cancel our trip.

Nurburgring was not on the radar before but it certainly is now.

Don't get caught doing this, Porsche won't let you drive loaner cars on the Nurburgring

I'd suggest a trip through the Alps (Stelvio-Pass!)

Have fun!

It was from a German dealer, but the contract looked quite "standard" like from Porsche itself.
