Would you take delivery of your GT3 in June, 2014 or wait for the 2015 model?

Even though my car has been in Vehicle Entry to CT assembly (V280) status for the last 2 weeks, the earliest I can pick it up is at the end of April since they are not scheduling any European Deliveries for March so by the time I take possession of my GT3 in Stuttgart the GT3 wouldn't arrive to Rusnak Porsche until mid June, 2014, so I was wondering if I should just talk to them and wait for a 2015 allocation because of the late 2014 possession and the whole unresolved Stop Sale issue. What do you all think?

Thanks!

Given that scenario, I think that it would make sense to wait for a 2015 allocation - IF you could get one. I'm assuming that most of 2015 allocations are already spoken for. For you to get a 2015 allocation, one of those buyers would have to be willing to step up and accept the car that you ordered. Don't count on it.

My car finished stage V270 on 2-14 when production stopped. I have already told my dealer if my car shows up in July at the dealer I want a 2015 and will not take a 1 year old car when the 2015's will arrive likely in September.

I think Porsche will do whatever it takes to accomidate us and will increase 2015 production if they have to.

I think it is highly unlikely there will be significant changes from MY 2014 to MY 2015. If you want a GT3 and have an allocation, buy it. If you wait, you may be out of luck.

It really doesn't matter when the car was made, the warranty is based on the in-service date.

^Ray, how about shaving the "Stop Sale" thread with Ockham's razor?

Maybe if it is in fact May/ June that the deliveries herein the states arrive
P will bill them as 15s

The only difference between '14 & '15 will be the price....higher.....

From what I understand you'd be lucky to get a June delivery....I guess we'll see

I've switched to a 2015 slot, which isn't a locked in allocation just yet, but I'm taking the risk for the following reasons:
1) Post "fix" manufacturing dates are likely to be in higher demand in a few years when it comes time to sell
2) I want to hit the PTS window
3) I might change to the RS
4) If it just doesn't workout, there are many other great cars available that I will just get something else.

Seemed like a logical choice to me vs investing 150k today and hoping...
