Has anyone besides myself complained about down payment for a car not being delivered as promised. Or was I the only one that had to put in a down payment when ordering?

I was thinking maybe they will throw in a few extras. interest is not the point just a little pressure on Porsche for the delay

I put a deposit down. Not really missing the opportunity cost of that $, only missing the car that I'm trying to patiently wait for!

Curious how much deposit is being asked at different dealers.
My dealer asked for a $5K deposit. Others?

I put 5k Down to secure allocation. I Wouldn't give them a down payment of 20% until the car arrived!

Mine asked for $10000. But i didn't really have history with them.

5k is very standard and I heard of 10K. I happened to put a quite a bit down because my accountant advised me to do so. The dealer did not ask for it.

I was asked to put down 10% on an estimated $160k build in May of '13. I guess I'm the big sucker here...

I made the deposit about a year ago and it will take another year..
I made the deposit on my '10 RS also 2 years before LOL.
