Mods update the GT3 thread, add GT2.
The GT2 will be introduced at Geneva.
Or is it the GT3RS?? http://m.auto-motor-und-sport.de/new...n-1342433.html |
Or not, maybe they first have to figure out how to keep them running without Turbo's?
Usually auto und Motorsport is pretty good, a last minute pull by Porsche? http://www.gtspirit.com/2014/02/24/g...ours-debunked/ Maybe a 450HP cayman manual to save face, I can dream.. |
LOL. Might as well dream big…… 450HP manual Cayman, stripped to 2800 lbs, with big aero and wide fender flares for 255/315 rubber, warranty that explicitly covers track usage and sub-$100K price tag. Where do we sign up?

BGB can get pretty close; The components are all OEM and warrantied by Suncoast Porsche.

Damn that BGB car looks great! Add some decent coilovers, monoball suspension pieces & polyurethane engine mounts and you've got a killer Cayman!!!

with PDK should be ok. Manual, not so much.

auto motor und sport appears to one of the few sites predicting any type of new 911 GT introduction at Geneva. I wasn't expecting a GT2, but it will be disappointing if the RS isn't there.
No "Fire" comments, please... |
A fire breathing GT2 only.
We better light a fire under their ass as I was all fired up to see the new manual RS. I wonder who will get fired over the fire causing defects causing all this drama. |

If Ferrari was able to figure out 730bhp and RWD only on the F12, which Ive driven without any driving aids, and IMO is the best car in the World; Im sure Porsche can make a 650bhp GT2 lighter and faster than a Turbo S. Probably they just dont want to spend any $ in development. Obviously if you just remove the FWD and do NOTHING, it will not be faster just by dropping that weight. |
Porsche announces that the 919 Hybrid, 911 RSR, Macan Diesel S, and Targa to be shown at Geneva. No mention of an RS, NA or otherwise.
