Don't be so sure. They are all different, but none are "better".

Never liked Ferrari, too pretentious for my liking. Feel like the owners of Fcars let the cars sit in the garage and polish them like a trophy. Besides Germans produce a better quality product. Only F car that will make me take back my words is th F12 love that car

I have a GT3 on order and have had a 458 now for just over 1 year now........458 is hard to beat for a street/occasional track car, but I'm holding out hope that the 991 GT3 can beat the 458 fun factor. Anyone know of any videos of the 2 going head to head on the track?

I'm getting itchy... My plan is Euro delivery in June, drive the car for the two months we'll be in Germany, then have it shipped home. I'm not liking any of this, and concerned the delays will spoil my plan. Just called the Ferrari dealer to find out what can be done.

I have not driven the 458 on the track but I just can't imagine that given the same tires and proper alignments on both cars that the 991 gt3 could keep up. The 458 is too well balanced and just alot faster from track out until braking zone.

I think I would be 3-4 seconds faster at Sebring in a 458 than a 997 gt3 RS.

Listen....those owners exist with Porsche also (currently I have 2 in my neighborhood and they both just happen to drive 991 turbos?), yes Ferrari tends to attract a lot of idiots that just buy the brightest color model and show up around town to get noticed but I have met a lot of great enthusiasts in the Ferrari circles just as I have with Porsche. I will say that the Porsche group seems to have many pure enthusiasts, but there were also a lot more Porsche built than Ferrari.

+1. There's D-bags in both marquees. I daily drove a 997.1 C2S x 4 years until I ruptured my Achilles training muay thai and couldn't drive a 6-speed. 458 Spider is the greatest car I've owned and has been a superb daily driver. I don't own red cars, don't have chest hair, don't like logo clothes and don't wear track suits. Race mode 24/7 and bumpy road suspension when the road gets rough. There's lots to love about both marquees and plenty of owners have both in their garage.

Funny. Was in a Lambroghini store, next to the Porsche store in Chicago area, as I was investigating Gallardo. Asked the guy what he thought of Porsche. --He looks over at the dealership and goes something like "Ohh yea. those guys like to drive there cars around the track and stuff"

Nice, guy but it sounded hilarious, like those guys are a bunch of idiots, like Lambro's were too cool for that..

He did say the Lambro was more of a Luxury car which made sense..

I own a 458 and have driven one (not mine) extensively on the track. It is B$lls to the wall.

I currently have an 14 turbo and sold a 11 GT3RS.

I love Porsches and have a GT3 on order. Here in 4 weeks.

I have owned a F360, F430 too.

They are not comparable. Own a Ferrari if you can.

If I had 140 to spend I would own a F430 instead of a Porsche. The experience is worth it.

Good info.. I'll put an F-car on the radar for later..Sounds like a serious drivers car,and not poser. Just not red for me at this point, but that could change too. Now just enjoying the GT3.

--Thats fine if others keep it polished in the Garage, it's their car.. Ha Ha.. .. Not my problem.. I'll be driving what ever I have a LOT..

^+ Dang.. Looks sharp.. don't get me going.. Ahhhh..ignorant.. Took a google.. so it's a V8 NA 9000 rpm scramer.. Ok.. now I see.

Now I'm going to youtube 458 exhaust, take off all night.. Dang.. Ohh. the 12c is TTurbo.. No way man..Sounds like an AMG Not in the market now, but 458 way way over the 12c.. thats a better compare. vs. the GT3
