Stop Sale?
Anyone know why a stop sale has been issued today on the GT3?

A delivery stop was discussed on Pistonheads. Guys over there said it affected 62 cars worldwide and was related to an exhaust bolt.

Any additional detail? Hmmm...

Affects 62 cars not yet delivered? How about previously delivered cars?

@kosmo -- current Carreras?

Can't win. I'm never going to get my car :( The boat it was on just arrived today, having been dropped at the port in Emden on 20 Dec

Bad supplier again?

Thanks, @kosmo.
I just pulled this from Pistonheads: I just had a call from my OPC - my 7/2 build completion car is built as planned, however there is a universal 'sale stop' on all GT3s, including ones sitting in show rooms awaiting collection. Apparently there is a problem with the sump bolts and they need replaced - looking at up to a two week delay so a bit gutting. Presume this will affect all on road cars too. ^^^Can any current US owner confirm with their dealer / service department? |
This is all part of the experience of owning a first year model of any car. It happened with my 991 carrera S too. Mostly painless. A bit of delay here and there at most. Nothing to get bent out of shape about.

Glad I scrapped my euro delivery plans.

Glad you guys are doing all the beta testing, hope all the bugs are worked out for my May build.

You're very welcome. ;)
