Macca -- Don't suppose you know the VIN range of the cars having issues, do you?

I don't know if he has the very latest information, but my SA got back to me. He said he saw the notice this morning, thought of me, and checked my VIN but there was no alert of any kind associated with it.

Unless the info changes next week, my car and probably others built around the same time, won't be affected. This would also be an indication that this is a QC part related issue, as Macca suggested, rather than a general design problem and should indicate an easy fix.

Love the puking emoticon!

Mike. Although I dont know the precise VIN ranges I believe (at this time) production week 46/47 cars are clear. Infact at this time those production week cars only show a recall for Thermostat. PAG is simply being over cautious, particularly by putting a Stop Sale as they would rather be safe in regards to delivering cars to customers - especially American ones!

Thanks, Mike. From your info and Macca's, it makes sense.

Today has been a long, brutal day of waiting. Glad they aren't all like this!

The 991 GT3 wait, delivery, reviews, delays, and rumor reads like a script.

It's even getting to me. As my defective unit has been chillin at port for 3 weeks.

My car is already on the truck to the dealer...so barring this snowstorm, it will be in within the next couple of days.

@sechsgang -- Let us know after it's released to you. Will be interesting to see how quickly the stop sale is lifted.

Oh...and congrats!

The one thing I had over my Ferrari loving mates was the fact that their cars would go up in flames like overpriced barbeques... Not any more, some slack QC clowns at Porsche made sure we joined them...

Porsche really need to address these ongoing QC issues... It a real shame for such a highly praised car to have so many ****ty little QC problems so early on. Not great for the brand...

Fingers crossed they get your cars sorted and out asap...
