He continued to play down the problem and said they were working on it 24x7 and that he expects a resolution soon. But that is also guesswork. He also thought that Porsche would get in touch with me directly at some point soon but I'm yet to hear from them.

My take (opinion only alert) is that this is caused by a minor fault affecting only a few cars, otherwise they would have stopped production.
How do you know when a car dealer is lying? Their lips are moving. Has been. And will always be the case.

RWS issues being a HORROR. What a load of twaddle.
Not sure I understand. For me if it's production process, faulty parts, or any other issue they have not resolved than there should be no new cars produced. Makes no sense to keep producing more cars to stack up at port or dealer lots. I have a European pick up scheduled for May 16th. I have to pay for the car April 16th. If there is a stop sale in effect and production is continuing as of April 16th do I pay for my car in the hope this is resolved? At that point I pass on the car. I have a letter from Porsche confirming my May 16th pick up with the qualifier if the stop sale impacts the May 16th pick up they will not reimburse my travel cost.

This does seem to be a trend. New tech and basic stuff that shows up on the GT3 has a greater likelihood than not of being problematic (centerlocks, cam bolts, coolant hoses, whatever is happening to the new GT3, etc.). You'd really think that stuff would show up in the heavy durability and validation testing that Porsche should be doing and fixed before the car is released to general production. Of course, Porsche isn't alone in having this problem.

I wouldn't be surprised if its just some software glitch in pdk that allowed a money shift.

Funny you mention that. When the E46 M3 was grenading engines, BMW was initially trying to deny cupability saying it was user error with likely mechanical overrev. Then, when it started happening to the SMG auto transmissions, it was pretty hard to hide behind that as being a possible cause of the engine failures.

I love the way you can plant a seed in someone's brain and then watch it grow like cancer until all logic and common sense are replaced with meaningless babble.

I'll put my money on Porsche engineers every day of the week. You'll all be enjoying cars long after this problem is forgotten.

Any one want to put their money where there mouth is. I reckon it's easy money how bout you 991gt3truth I'm sure Macca will hold the purse.

@991GT3Truth is likely burrowed in a cyber hole somewhere, waiting to pop up on RT, PH, 6SO, etc. Either that, or quickly piecing together a "video" that backs up his claims--in the style of the Blair Witch Project.

But, I could be wrong and simply blinded by my silly adherence to logic.

We had a Z3M that wasn't affected but knew of a few cars that got more than one set of bearings installed. BMW kept upgrading/making running changes to the warranty parts.
Here is a " new window".

You lost all credibility with your 'source' as soon as I read this. 400hp and manual only? Will never happen.
