Forgeline, thanks for keeping your promise. You delivered as promised. Unfortunately, I have NO car to put these on for now, but they do LOOK GREAT!!!!!!

Will keep you all posted.
AWESOME!! I CAN’T WAIT to see how your car does with these (and those R6’s ). Almost as excited as you are. How can I get sales/pricing info?

What tire sizes are you planning to run on these? Any thoughts on alignment for those tires & sizes?

So, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video should be priceless!

Sebring is to me the "Crown Jewel" of DE's. So, yes Deacon my wife and I are really looking forward to PBOC Winterfest. Got our rooms booked and we're ready.

I don't want to bash Hoosiers. They were great on my Cayman S that I ran while waiting for a new engine. However, I have NO idea why, but you DON'T want to run Hoosiers on this GT3. They absolutely STINK. They are way slower than your OEM setup. PERIOD.

Nice driving John. Thanks for posting. So you were running the Hoosiers on these 19" wheel. Really surprised by your comments about their performance on the GT3. Can you elaborate some more about their bad performance. Mark

Curious if you expand on "stink"? Feel, grip level, feedback from tire?

Also what tire brand did you run on the 19s?

Yes please elaborate as I don't want to send my customer down the wrong path. Before we started thinking of a 19" Hoosier setup, we were just planning on running the Trofeo R's as they come in stock sizes. This may still be the way to go. He is taking the car to Daytona Oct 3rd and 4th and then Sebring Oct 11 and 12th. We planned on just running the stock Michelins for now. I think we should hold off until more data starts to roll in.

I ran with Pirellis.

"Stink"...to be extremely bad or unpleasant.

Running Hoosiers, the car felt overwhelmingly SOFT is probably the best way to describe its feeling. Hoosiers like to either grip or not. I think their sidewall is so flexible, designed to permit more rubber on track during turns, the car feels like it plows in corners? After 2000 track miles on this car, I've learned unequivocally that the GT3 is faster when permitted to modestly slide around certain corners. (Before all you professional racers start bashing me, I'm only stating what I know).

I'm not a tech, never claimed to be. However, I'm wondering if the 1 1/2 degree rear wheel steering is making that big of a difference under load that that's what's causing the huge difference w/ harder tires??

And btw, I've got the Trofeo's on my OEM wheels after I burned up the Michelin Pilot Sport 2's and ran them several times on the GT3, going back and forth w/ the Hoosiers, same day to mitigate as many variables as I could.

I don't feel the Trofeo's are ANY bit better than the PS2's. Matter of fact, running the Trofeo's on my GTR and 458, I feel I know the tire extremely well. They absolutely SUCK when cold and take FOREVER to warm up, but once warm are great. Only, they heat cycle almost as bad as R888, but cost way more than they're worth. Just my cheap opinion.
