Default GT Silver

For all those GT Silver lovers out there, these pics are some of the best that show off the color of the paint on a clean car in a variety of lighting conditions (sgroer...this is for you...)

For the first time, I can sort of see why it's a "speshul" color.. Has sort of a Matte quality to it, like a flat silver. Not sure if I'm trying too hard to justify the price, or if I saw this vs rhodium side by side I could definitely say "yea, that's truly worth the premium"

The brown color on the other hand.. Definitely can justify it. I saw a standard brown 911 last week and then saw the basalt brown and you could definitely see how the $3500 color looked show car special.

Not my photography, but Rhodium on left, GT on right. I have seen both colors in person and GT Silver is indeed beautiful.

Lovely. Thanks for posting Ken! My build locks in 12 days and the only thing I continue to debate is the wheel color.,,I am unwavering from gt silver. I was all set on platinum wheels, and now this shows up. Ugh!

Get platinum wheels.. You can easily go black doing you know-what. You can't go from black to platinum.

FWIW, approximately 40% of all Porsche's on the road today are some sort of silver color.

Which is too bad, since the curvaceous 911 silhouette is so perfect for a more colorful representation on the road . These days it seems like in most every town , there are just 4 new 911s total as they are all white, black, grey or silver. Even interiors now are either always black in moderate climates or beige in the hotter ones. But this is expected now that the line has become a luxury car, vs a slighly outlawish one through the early 80s, and color was a way to further express that, in the time of our parents' Buicks and Oldsmobiles back then . Nice 911 COLOR thread :

GT Silver was my initial choice for color. Obviously this beast looks good in any dress but the more I look at it the less I like GT. Not trying to hate at all but it's looking a little mute. Yet to see this in person on this particular car. Then again color is personal preference and you can't go wrong with any available selection.

Nice work - I like that you take your role seriously and remember the subcommittee slogan - No man, woman nor child shall be deprived of the emotional power and almighty dominance brought to us by GT Silver.
